Botany Public School has been a proud part of the local community since 1848. Our school blends the charm of heritage-listed buildings with the functionality of modern facilities. In recent years, our classrooms have undergone significant upgrades to create inspiring learning environments that foster engagement and support access to high-quality educational resources.

Our school facilities

Technology Integration

At Botany Public School, technology plays a vital role in enhancing teaching and learning. Every classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, and students have access to a range of devices - including laptops, Chromebooks, and iPads - to support digital learning and access to a wealth of online resources.

Comfort and Accessibility

Comfort and accessibility are at the heart of our learning environment, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. Our fully air-conditioned school features modern learning spaces, each equipped with upgraded, flexible furniture that supports a variety of teaching and learning styles. Classrooms can be easily reconfigured to promote collaboration, peer interaction, or focused individual work—meeting the diverse needs of all students, including those with disabilities.

Specialist teaching spaces

Our recently upgraded library offers students access to a rich collection of high-quality Australian and international children’s literature. Weekly library lessons support literacy development and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Visual arts are brought to life in our dedicated art room, where students enjoy hands-on weekly lessons with our resident artist, Ms Gable. They experiment with a wide range of materials and explore the works of renowned artists to deepen their artistic knowledge and appreciation. Every second year, students showcase their creative talents in our much-loved Art Show, and many go on to represent the school in community events such as Operation Art and the Art Gallery of NSW’s Young Archies competition.

Students also enjoy access to our on-site dance studio, located in the Heritage Hall. Here, they can take part in lunchtime extra-curricular dance lessons with DZP, encouraging creativity and physical expression.

Expansive school grounds

Botany students benefit from a range of sporting facilities, including basketball and netball courts, a miniature soccer pitch, and an athletics track—ensuring active play and physical education are a valued part of every school day.
